Alva H. Wright

Alva (pro­nounced: alvee) was first intro­duced to the effects of tech­nol­ogy on cog­ni­tion and learn­ing while earn­ing his degree in Psy­chol­ogy at UCLA. There he spent 2 years research­ing human mem­ory and reten­tion and later applied this knowl­edge while work­ing for San Diego-​​based Gate­way Com­put­ers. Alva has spent more than 10 years in busi­ness devel­op­ment roles with other high-​​tech firms. He is an active mem­ber of the Tele­com Pro­fes­sion­als Group and con­tin­ues to be uti­lized as a con­sul­tant for the M2M com­mu­ni­ca­tions industry.

Pas­sion­ate about life and learn­ing, Alva is con­stantly edu­cat­ing him­self on effec­tive infor­ma­tion archi­tec­ture and new web tech­nolo­gies. How­ever, Alva is sub­ject to an occa­sional out­burst while watch­ing UCLA dom­i­nate in col­lege bas­ket­ball. A Bruin for­ever, he invites you to share the experience.
